Deadboy Records
Deadboy Records expands into Australia and welcomes new artists Bloodsport

We are excited to announce some big news that has been a long time coming.

After many negotations, talks and meetings… Deadboy Records will be expanding it’s territory into Australia.

It was always a logical step for us to expand our business and to eventually begin to develop the label across the ditch.
It will be a long, slow and careful process that we are extremely realistic, but optimistic about.
We have partnered up with likeminded independent label and distributor New Justice Records, based out of Sydney, NSW.

New Justice Records will license, market and distribute our Australian releases as of June 2012 and we are very happy to be working closely with label president Sam Rilatt as we begin to expand into further territories across Australasia.

As a hardworking independent label which has focussed strongly on heavy and alternative music, we have seen a huge amount of growth for our label and brand over the past years and the support of our artists and fans means the world to us.

With the current climate of the music business putting many conventional record labels on shaky ground, Deadboy Records will continue to focus on developing and assisting our artists in every aspect of their musical career and continue to push the envelope, moving forward in the physical, digital and live formats of the music industry across New Zealand and Australia.

Our first Australasian release comes in the form of our latest signing from Adelaide’s heavy hitters Bloodsport.

Bloodsport are one of Australia’s most punishing hardcore acts playing a raw, aggressive sound in the vein of Shattered Realm and Hatebreed.

The band has toured and shared the stage with the likes of Madball, Bishop and Death Before Dishonor.

Bloodsport’s debut full length album ‘Imprisonment’ was released on Skull & Bones Records in 2008 and saw the band play many tours across Australia and New Zealand in it’s support.
Almost four years later, we are extremely excited to be releasing their highly anticipated sophomore studio record ‘Blackest Darkness’ which is a huge step forward for the band.

Clocking in at just under 18 minutes, this 11 track slab of relentless, in-your-face hardcore holds no punches and is set to be one of the most heavy Australian releases of the year.

As always, our releases will be available in stores throughout New Zealand via Universal Music and online globally on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.

We look forward to future growth and seeing what the coming years will bring for Deadboy Records and our growing stable of breakthrough Artists.

Thank you all for your continued support.
